Frequently asked questions

What can value-based care mean for you?2023-08-21T13:53:07+00:00

Improving health includes addressing non-medical drivers of health (behavioral, environmental, and social) and so we work with payors and providers to find ways to provide and cover the cost of services not traditionally funded via insurance.

We help payors and providers think strategically about changes in the health care environment and assist them to enter new markets, changing organizational models or other strategic opportunities.

We believe that providers and payors should not be adversaries, but collaborators in achieving the quintuple aim (improved outcomes, experience of care, cost, quality of life for providers, and health equity).

We are experienced in value-based payment models that change the traditional dynamics and align incentives.

We help health systems, health plans, and social services organization think strategically about these issues, and then translate those into specific actions and agreements with partner organizations.

Much of our work leads to the need for “system” change, so we also focus on policy development and advocacy in health equity.

We primarily work with safety net providers such as FQHCs, payors and social services organizations, but also for-profit entities that support the quintuple aim of improved outcomes, experience of care, cost, quality of life for providers, and health equity.

What happens after initially contacting Wild Blue Health?2023-08-22T17:27:06+00:00

The first action is determining who on the Wild Blue Health team would be the best person to make the initial call to you. That team member will then give you a call and ask you to describe your question/concern/project at length.

Once we have a good take on what you need, including if we are a great fit for you, we will send you a contract with details about the services we can provide and potential costs. You can let us know of any questions and necessary adjustments.

Once the contract is signed, the work begins.

Our first priority is to listen. While it is true that we are industry experts, you are
unique. You deserve more than a pre-packaged answer. We listen to your
specific needs and then we adapt, customize, and innovate alongside you. Here
are a few examples of what we have helped our clients achieve:

● Safety Net Providers – help contracting with health plans for new services
or in new value-based programs.

specific MCOs.
● Health-related Social Service organizations – finding answers to questions
such as how to get paid by MCOs or large health systems.
● Health Start-Ups – making connections and meetings with State and
Federal Health and Human Services staff, MCOs, or provider
organizations.
● Organizations needing health systems and health insurance training –
offering keynote addresses or workshop leaders on multiple health policy
and economic topics.
